iPhone Duo Launch Day at Apple Stores: 6 Models Available for Same-Day Pickup at TRX, Gone Within 9 Minutes

iPhone Duo went on sale on 23 October in Malaysia, Hong Kong, Japan and elsewhere. This is what our stock radar recorded at Apple Stores on launch day (00:00 to 24:00 Malaysia time): when stores opened same-day pickup, which models appeared, and how fast they went. It is one day of observation, not a measure of how much stock Apple has; the following days will be in the weekly stock report.

- Before launch: "check back on the 23rd": The night before, Apple's sites in Malaysia, Hong Kong, Taiwan, mainland China and Japan all said to check pickup again on 23 October.

Where the data comes from
The data comes from our Apple Store stock radar: the server checks stores on a schedule, and results from visitors' own checks are recorded too. On launch day the radar recorded 11,809 iPhone Duo pickup results, including 122 checks of Apple The Exchange TRX in Kuala Lumpur. Only the store, model, time and Apple's pickup message are stored, nothing about visitors.
A slot that appeared and was taken between two checks is invisible to us, so the counts below can only be too low. Other regions were checked less often than TRX, so they show only that a slot appeared, not how many there were.
Before launch: "check back on the 23rd"
Between pre-orders and launch, Apple's sites said to check in-store pickup again on launch day. After midnight on the 23rd, the Malaysian site said "Check back for availability on 23 October".
TRX first returned a real pickup status at 05:55: before that it said to check back, after that it said "Unavailable for Pickup" or "Available Today".

At 05:58, 6 models showed "Available Today"; the first went at 06:00 and by 06:06 all were gone (under 9 minutes).
It came back 1 more time(s): at 08:22, the 256GB Night Sky showed "Available Today"; by the next check at 08:24 it was gone (under 3 minutes).

Malaysia, Hong Kong, Japan, Mainland China showed same-day pickup at some point; Taiwan only ever showed "available tomorrow"; Korea opened pickup but never showed a slot; Singapore, United States, Canada, United Kingdom did not open at all and said to check back on 24 October.
iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max that day
On the same day, iPhone 18 Pro Max at TRX was tight in the morning, down to 4 of 16 models available at one point; after a restock around 10:06 all 16 were available. iPhone 18 Pro had every model available all day.
How long online orders take
On launch day every region's online store quoted exactly the same dates as on pre-order night, still late January 2027, for every colour and capacity. Singapore and Hong Kong show a delivery date; the others show a shipping date.
