Malaysia has one Apple Store
According to Apple's store list, Malaysia currently has one Apple Store:
| Store | Apple The Exchange TRX (store number R742) |
|---|---|
| Address | L1.40, The Exchange TRX, Persiaran TRX, Tun Razak Exchange, 55188 Kuala Lumpur |
| Phone | 1800 88 0384 |
| Hours | 10 AM–10 PM daily. See Apple's store page for the current hours, which may change on public holidays. |
So if you order on Apple's Malaysia site and choose in-store pickup, TRX is the only store you can pick. That is also why almost every Malaysian visitor to our stock radar is checking the same store.
How to get there
- By MRT: ride to Tun Razak Exchange (TRX) station. It is an interchange between the Kajang Line (Line 9) and the Putrajaya Line (Line 12), so either line works. From the station, take the underground link straight into the mall's Concourse level without going up to the street.
- By car: there are ramps into TRX from both directions of Jalan Tun Razak. From the SMART Tunnel, take the exit marked "TRX". The mall car park is cashless: pay with Touch 'n Go or a bank card. Published 2026 rates are RM5 for the first hour and RM4 for each hour after on weekdays, RM4 per hour on weekends and public holidays, and a RM10 cap for entry after 5 PM. Rates can change, so follow the mall's notices.
- By e-hailing: the mall lists three drop-off points: the MRT Plaza entrance, the Market Lane entrance (Raintree Plaza) and the valet area.
Where the store is inside the mall
Apple The Exchange TRX is unit L1.40 and has three levels joined by a glass staircase. The lowest level connects to the mall atrium and hosts Today at Apple sessions. The middle level is the product and shopping area. The top level opens directly onto the mall's rooftop park. You can enter from the atrium or from the rooftop park.
The store has a dedicated Apple Pickup counter. Tell the staff at the entrance that you are collecting an online order and they will take you there.
What the pickup statuses mean
After you choose a model on Apple's Malaysia site, it shows the pickup status at the store. These are the common ones, quoted as our radar received them:
| Status on Apple's site | Meaning |
|---|---|
Available Today | You can collect it at the store today. |
Available Tomorrow | Order now and collect tomorrow. On the evening of 27 September 2026 the radar recorded this status for iPhone 18 Pro 256GB Black. |
Unavailable for Pickup | The store cannot offer this model for pickup right now. Choose delivery, or wait for a restock. |
Pickup status changes quickly. "In stock" on the radar describes the moment of the check. The result on Apple's site at checkout is what counts.
Watching stock with the radar
Apple's site shows one model at a time. To watch several colours and storage sizes together, use our Apple Store stock radar:
- Open the radar, choose Malaysia as the country and The Exchange TRX as the store.
- Choose the iPhone model, then tick the colours and storage sizes you want. You can tick several. The board below lists the pickup status of each one.
- For a long wait, turn on 1-minute auto-refresh and the sound alert. You can also set up Bark to push the alert to your phone.
- When a card shows in stock, use the button on the card to go straight to Apple's site and order.
A few things to know:
- Auto-refresh checks about once a minute. It pauses when the page is in the background or the screen is locked and checks again as soon as you return, so keep the page in front while you wait.
- If a card says Apple is rate-limiting, Apple has temporarily restricted checks. The radar retries by itself. It does not mean the model is out of stock.
- Do not run many tabs at once. Checking too often makes rate-limiting more likely.
Malaysian iPhone model numbers
iPhone part numbers on Apple's Malaysia site end in X/A. For example, iPhone 18 Pro 256GB Glacier Blue is MJRT4X/A and iPhone 18 Pro Max 256GB Glacier Blue is MJXR4X/A. The radar checks with the Malaysian part numbers, so what it finds is the version sold in Malaysia.
To see what the same iPhone costs in other countries, use the iPhone price comparison. Detailed specifications are in the specs library.
On pickup day
At checkout, Apple's site normally lets you collect the order yourself or name someone else to collect it. The exact requirements are on the checkout page and in the order confirmation email.
The points below are compiled from the instructions on Apple's Malaysia site. They are not personal experience.
- Wait for the notification before you leave: Apple emails and notifies you at each step. Go only after you receive the "ready for pickup" message. Available Today on the site does not mean the order is ready the moment you place it.
- What to bring: a government-issued photo ID (MyKad or passport) and your order number. The order number is in the confirmation email. Keep the pickup notification email on your phone so staff can check it.
- Sending someone else: you can name a pickup contact at checkout, with their name, phone number and email. That person must bring their own photo ID and the order number. Only you or the person you named can collect. Some products and payment methods do not allow a pickup contact, and the checkout page will say so.
- Setup: Apple offers free Personal Setup, where staff help you switch on, transfer data from your old phone and do the basic setup. Ask for it at pickup. It is sensible to unbox and switch on in the store, and confirm the model, colour and storage before you leave.
- Returns: under Apple Malaysia's policy, a return must be requested within 14 days.
The store is busy in the first weeks after a launch and pickup may involve a queue, so leave extra time.
FAQ
Apple's site says Unavailable for Pickup. Can I still buy?
Yes. Choose delivery, or wait for the store to restock and choose pickup then. To know about a restock as soon as it happens, use the radar's auto-refresh and alerts.
When does Apple The Exchange TRX restock?
We have recorded iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max pickup status at TRX since late September 2026. From 28 September to 1 October only single models appeared, briefly. The first large batch came at about 11:30 AM on 2 October and the second at about 11:30 AM on 3 October. The full record, model by model, is in Apple The Exchange TRX restock times.
The radar showed stock but it was gone at checkout. Why?
Popular models can be taken within minutes. The radar shows the result at the moment of the check. Only a completed order on Apple's site secures a unit.
