Apple The Exchange TRX Restock Times: When iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max Come Back in Stock in Malaysia
· By Xin Wang · 䏿–‡
When does Apple The Exchange TRX restock? Based on one week of checks by our stock radar, Malaysia's only Apple Store does not restock at a fixed time every morning the way Hong Kong stores do. It was almost empty for five days, then received two large batches on 2 and 3 October, both at about 11:30 AM. Most models have stayed available since.
Key findings
- Restock time: two large batches so far, at about 11:30 AM on 2 October and 11:31–11:40 AM on 3 October. Both came after the store opened at 10 AM.
- Stock right now: late on 3 October, 27 of the 32 iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max models were available for pickup.
- Still unavailable: iPhone 18 Pro 1TB Silver, 1TB Burgundy Wine and 2TB Silver never appeared during the week.
- Hardest to catch: iPhone 18 Pro Max 256GB. On 2 October it appeared more than 30 times, usually for about 2 minutes each time.

Where the data comes from
Malaysia has one Apple Store: Apple The Exchange TRX in Kuala Lumpur. Our Apple Store stock radar started recording pickup availability at this store on the evening of 27 September 2026. From 29 September it has checked every 10 minutes, covering all 32 models of iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max. By late 3 October there were 1,162 successful automatic checks. Together with the results left by visitors' own checks, that is 8,150 records.
- We record only the model, the time and whether it was available. We do not record anything about visitors.
- Automatic checks run every 10 minutes. A window shorter than that is recorded only if a visitor happened to check during it.
- This is one week of data with only two large batches. It describes what has happened, not what will happen.
One week of restocks at Apple The Exchange TRX
| Date | What we recorded | Models available (of 32) |
|---|---|---|
| Sun 27 – Mon 28 Sep | Only iPhone 18 Pro 256GB Black and 2TB Black appeared, for one to three hours at a time. | 0 to 2 |
| Tue 29 Sep | iPhone 18 Pro Max 256GB Glacier Blue appeared 3 times, for about 10 minutes, 2 minutes and 1 minute. | 0 to 1 |
| Wed 30 Sep | iPhone 18 Pro 256GB Silver appeared at 3:20 AM for about an hour. | 0 to 1 |
| Thu 1 Oct | Nothing was available all day. | 0 |
| Fri 2 Oct | First large batch at about 11:30 AM. 15 models turned to Available Today at once, mostly iPhone 18 Pro. | 12 to 15 |
| Sat 3 Oct | Second large batch at 11:31–11:40 AM. Another 15 models became available, all iPhone 18 Pro Max. | 27 to 28 |
The two batches arrived at almost the same time of day, about 11:30 AM, an hour and a half after the store opens at 10 AM. Hong Kong is different: its stores release stock before opening, between 7 and 9 AM (see Hong Kong Apple Store restock times, in Chinese).
The two batches also carried different models. The 2 October batch was mostly Pro, and the 3 October batch filled in Pro Max. After they arrived, most models were not sold out and stayed available.

Why some models vanish in minutes
iPhone 18 Pro Max 256GB and 512GB Black behave differently from the rest. They do not arrive and stay. They flip between available and unavailable.
- 256GB Glacier Blue appeared 16 times. Half of those windows lasted under 2 minutes.
- 256GB Burgundy Wine appeared 18 times, again mostly for about 2 minutes.
- 512GB Black appeared 9 times on 2 October, usually for about 4 minutes.
Most of these short windows fell between noon and 4 PM on 2 October. Apple does not explain why. The pattern looks like orders being cancelled or failing at payment, with the unit going back on sale and being taken again almost at once. For buyers, it means these models are worth watching with alerts on even when they show as unavailable.
Available Today vs Available Tomorrow
The same model shows Available Today during the day and Available Tomorrow at night. It has not sold out. It is simply too late to collect the same day, so an order placed now is ready the next day. In our records, almost every available status at TRX in the evening is Available Tomorrow.
Occasionally the status carries a specific date, such as Available Wed 07/10/2026, which means pickup is possible only from that day.
How to catch stock at TRX
- The model you want has already been restocked: open the stock radar, choose Malaysia and The Exchange TRX, tick the model and check. Since 3 October most models have been available.
- You want a Pro Max 256GB: tick the colours you want, turn on 1-minute auto-refresh and the sound alert, and set up Bark if you want a push notification on your phone. This model appears for a minute or two at a time, so go straight to Apple's site and order as soon as it shows in stock.
- You want a model that has not arrived yet (Pro 1TB Silver, 1TB Burgundy Wine, 2TB Silver): watch closely between 11 AM and noon. Both large batches so far came in that hour, but two batches are not a rule, so keep alerts on at other times too.
- You would rather not wait: choose delivery on Apple's site. Delivery does not depend on store stock.
Auto-refresh checks about once a minute and pauses when the page is in the background or the screen is locked, so keep the page in front while you wait. For what to bring, where the store is inside the mall and how to get there, see the Apple The Exchange TRX pickup guide.
FAQ
Does Apple The Exchange TRX restock at the same time every day?
Not that we can see. In one week there were two large batches, both at about 11:30 AM. On the other five days the store had almost nothing all day. Two batches are not enough to say every day will be the same.
Is iPhone 18 Pro Max in stock in Malaysia now?
Late on 3 October, 27 of 32 iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max models were available at TRX. The missing ones were iPhone 18 Pro 1TB Silver, 1TB Burgundy Wine, 2TB Silver and 2TB Black, and iPhone 18 Pro Max 256GB Burgundy Wine. Stock changes all the time, so check the radar or Apple's site for the current status.
Does Available Tomorrow at night count as in stock?
Yes. It means an order placed now can be collected at the store tomorrow.
The radar showed stock but it was gone at checkout. Why?
Models like Pro Max 256GB are taken within a minute or two. The radar shows the result at the moment of the check. Only a completed order on Apple's site secures a unit.
Is the Malaysian iPhone the same as the Singapore or Hong Kong one?
Apple's Malaysia and Singapore sites use the same set of iPhone part numbers, ending in X/A. Hong Kong part numbers end in ZA/A. To compare prices between regions, use the iPhone price comparison. Full specifications are in the specs library.
